Welcome to the 2025–2026 School Year!
Dear Sequoia Families,
I am delighted to welcome all of our scholars, parents, and guardians to another exciting school year at Sequoia Elementary! As your principal, I am honored to walk alongside you on this journey and look forward to deepening the strong connections that make our community so special.
This year, our theme is “Better Together.” Just as the roots of the great Sequoia trees intertwine to help them grow stronger, we too thrive when we support one another. Together—as families, staff, and scholars—we can build an environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to achieve their very best.
At Sequoia, we continue to believe in the power of collaboration between home and school. Your involvement and partnership are vital to your child’s success, and we encourage you to actively participate in school activities, events, and initiatives. When we work together, our scholars benefit from a learning community that fosters both academic excellence and personal growth.
We hold high expectations for every scholar, knowing that each has the potential to achieve greatness. Our dedicated staff is committed to providing a rigorous and engaging curriculum that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and a lifelong love of learning. We also emphasize our core values of Respect, Responsibility, Accountability, and Being On Task, which guide our students in becoming caring, capable, and confident individuals.
Throughout the year, we will host many opportunities to gather as a community—from family nights to picnics to school assemblies. These moments allow us to celebrate achievements, share experiences, and grow stronger together.
Communication will continue to be a priority. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your scholar’s teacher, our administrative team, or me directly with any questions, concerns, or ideas. We are here to support you and your child every step of the way.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. I look forward to a school year filled with learning, growth, joy, and the reminder that we are always Better Together.
Warmly,
Dr. Jill Morrison
Principal
